Linda Sue Woods, 63, of Fairfield, Texas passed from this life late Wednesday evening, November 23, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas.
She was born on Thursday, August 20, 1959, in Canadian, Texas to Gharney A. Kent and Opal J. Wheeler Kent.
Linda married Clyde Woods on August 10, 2002, in Pasadena, Texas and in 2005 they moved to Fairfield.
Over the years she had several jobs including working as an LVN and as a waitress at Ponte’s. She also loved working at Fairfield Western Wear.
Linda was a people person who never met a stranger. She always had a listening ear and spoke her mind about what she thought.
She loved all of God’s creatures, from her “fur babies” to horses she always connected with them and showed them unconditional love.
Her family was very important to her and seeing them smile brought her so much happiness. The ability to just get away with them and live life was important to her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Leroy Kent and Bobby Joe Kent, sister; Nelda Jean Kent, niece; Gari Dawn Kent, nephews; Gary Lee Kent and Darrell Ray Kent.
Linda is survived by her husband of 20 years Clyde Woods. Stepdaughters Amanda Barboza and Samantha Palacio and numerous grandchildren. Siblings Don Kent, Judy Allen and husband Tim, Billy Kent and wife Judy and Jimmy Ray Kent. Niece Brandy Kent and nephews Jason D. Brians and Wesley Allen.
She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
A memorial service to honor Linda’s life will be held at the River of Life Church in Fairfield on Monday, December 12th at 11:00 a.m.
