Linda Kay Estell Johnson passed to be with our Lord May 10th at the age of 83 years young.
Linda was born in Corsicana, Texas. She moved to the greater Los Angeles area at the age of three.
When she was 19, she met Edwin L. Johnson. They married August 31, 1963, and lived in the San Diego area where Edd was stationed as a Marine.
After discharging from the Marines, Linda greatly wanted to return to her roots in Texas, so in 1978 the couple moved to the Fort Worth area with their three children.
In 2000 Linda retired from Aegon USA as the Vice-President of the Long-Term Care Division. Retirement brought Edd and Linda to Freestone County, Texas.
Linda served the Fairfield community as the pastor’s assistant and church secretary at First Baptist Fairfield. Linda and Edd also served as Acts 1:8 Missions Coordinators.
Linda is survived by her husband, Edd Johnson; her daughter Traci and son-in-law, Russell Dixon; her daughter, Melissa and son-in-law, Martin Balcerak; her son, Keith Johnson; as well as nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, James Clyde and Vindetta Turner Estell and her brother, James Lloyd Estell.
Services will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Fairfield, Texas.
