Larry (Wayne) Armstrong, 59, of Fairbanks, Alaska passed away Monday, November 11, 2019 in Fairbanks, Alaska. Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kevin Young, St. Bernard’s Catholic Church officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rusty Campbell, Eli Campbell, Jerry Armstrong, Jeff Massey, Alex Jones and Mitch Butler. Honorary pallbearers were John Cowden, Keith Campbell, Logan Tidwell, Joshua Cowden and Jonathan Cowden.
Wayne was born August 29, 1960 in Fairfield to parents Henry and Sadie Lucero Armstrong. He was a graduated of Fairfield High School. Prior to relocating to Alaska in 1992 he was employed with TU Electric as a heavy equipment operator. Wayne loved to hunt and fish and loved his mom and dad very much and was an avid Fairbanks Ice Dogs Hockey fan. He was preceded in death by his father Henry and a brother, Kelly Armstrong.
Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Sadie Armstrong of Texico, NM; two brothers, Jerry Armstrong of Texico, NM; Charles Armstrong of Fairfield; two sisters, Debbie Campbell and husband Keith of Whitehouse, TX; Teresa Cowden and husband John of Crosby, TX; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
