We can’t provide you a shower to sing in, but we can promise to put you center stage!

Veteran Pardners in Mexia is hosting a karaoke near me event on Saturday, May 19th to raise funds for helping veterans and their families. So come out and raise your voices to support a great cause and organization.

Cover charge is $5.00 a person.

Karaoke Contest will be held this Saturday at the VFW Lancaster Post #4694 in Mexia, Texas, the contest will have great quality equipment, including the best Karaoke Microphone and speakers.

Dinner will start serving at 6:00 p.m. Open mike will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Kontest from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m.

On tap for the evening will be a silent auction, a Legend Cooler raffle, merchandise raffles, and BBQ dinner.

The open mike portion of the event will be for tuning up your voices and having fun, plus participation in merchandise raffles. Cost is $1.00 a ticket, or 6 for $5.00, or 12 for $10.00.

Silent auction merchandise will be by ticket and you use the last four numbers to place your bid on items.

There will be a separate raffle for a new 45 qt. Legend Cooler in desert camo donated by veteran owned Rockin’o Distributing.  Cost is $2.00 a ticket or 6 for $10.00 and 14 for $20.00.

KARAOKE KONTEST

The contest will have four time frames

60’s and 70’s

80’s and 90’s

2000 thru ‘09

2010 to present

There will be 5 Katagories: Rock; Country; R&B; Gospel; and Misc. (Singers choice).

Entry fee is $5.00 per katagory. Each category pays $20.00.

There must be a minimum of 5 entrants per category to pay out. Participants better practice their favorite songs before deciding to enter the show as the competition is pretty tight. A karaoke system for home use is the best way to do this. The MusicCritic team stated that “karaoke machines are the second name of fun and a lot of people love to make it a part of their parties”, so I bet good money that someone has it in the neighborhood.

The VFW Post is located at 317 MLK (Highway 14) in Mexia, Texas.
