Bundle up the kids, get your dog on a leash, and those hiking shoes on and head to Fairfield Lake State Park for their Story Walk.

The Scenic Trail will have pages along the path of a well-loved story, but with the Texan twist of “Texas Night Before Christmas” by James Rice.

Fairfield Library Association Inc. and Fairfield Lake are at it again from Friday, December 18, 2020 through Thursday, December 24, 2020.

The half-mile trail is suitable for all ages, and dogs on a leash shorter than 6 feet.  As it is a trail, it is not very suitable for strollers.

What to bring:

–Closed Toed Hiking Shoes

–Water

–Warm Clothes

–Trail Map (Found online or at Headquarters)

Reservations are suggested and can be made online at tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/fairfield-lake or call (512) 389-8900.
