James Raymond York, known by all that loved him as simply Jim, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Jim was born April 9, 1977 in Corsicana to parents William Lee York and Linda Rankin York. His father preceded him in death.
He was a 1995 graduate of Fairfield High School.
Jim was an outgoing and strong man, who never met a stranger. No matter who or where, someone always knew Jim York. He had more friends than anyone will ever know, and had literally given the shirt off his back for so many.
He was known for his intelligence, strong opinions, hard work, love of talking and his love for Ty over these last years.
Jim fought battles in his head no one knew about, and they eventually caused him to take his own life.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jessica Ty York, his beautiful daughters, Kaitlin Newman and Addyson York; his mother and step-father, Linda Fryer and Charles Fryer; his brother Charles Wilson and wife.
There will be no funeral ceremonies, as he had wished. In lieu of flowers or half-hearted sympathies, go home and hug the ones you love. You never know when it will be the last time.
