Descendants of Cyrus K. Ivy (1814-1890) and families of others buried in the Ivy Cemetery are invited to a reunion on October 15, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Attendees are asked to bring a sack lunch for your family and lawn chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the reunion will be held at the home of Ted Ivy, on the corner of West Walnut and North Second streets in Huntington.
To reach the cemetery, take FM 2109 from Huntington to Palmer Ivy Road (approximately 4 miles), turn right onto Palmer Ivy Rd. and travel 1.7 miles to the cemetery entrance on the right.
In September 2007, the Ivy Cemetery of Huntington was recognized as a State Historical Cemetery by the State of Texas Historical Commission.
In October 2008, the historical narrative plaque was dedicated.
