The Fairfield History Club has a long history of supporting the Military and Veterans; from holding scrap drives and collecting waste fat and tin cans to support the war effort during WWII, to supporting organizations which offer assistance to those in the Military and their families such as the Fisher House Project in San Antonio, to providing care packages and phone cards to military troops.

Annually, the Club assesses needs in this area and this year has selected to assist Veterans Pardners, Inc. of Mexia, a 501(c)(3) organization. The Mexia Division focuses on providing services to Limestone, Freestone and Falls Counties, however, will never turn someone away who needs assistance. Their name includes “Pardners” which is reminiscent of our pioneer heritage that required communities to support their own so all could survive and thrive. Services Veterans Pardners provides includes: basic needs assistance, connecting veterans with counseling services and VA claims assistance and other needed resources.

The Fairfield History Club would like to help this organization by providing items to be sold during a Benefit Sale scheduled Saturday, February 23rd from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 317 S. MLK, Mexia, Texas. We need donations and items from the community!
