Exis-tent-ial: adjective, pertaining to the reality of existing or not existing due to outside forces or influence.
Like it or not the United States is deeply involved in both wars in providing moral support, money, influence, and weapons to both nations since both are genuine democracies and strongly pro-American. Israel is surrounded by hostile Islamic states which have since 1948, sworn to eliminate it by force. They have been unable to do it in the past and cannot achieve their goal by war.
Hamas, the radical Islamic military terrorist organization, is on the verge of extinction in the city of Ramah; the Israeli army is poised to attack Ramah and excise this cancer threatening to revive and attack again if spared. Leftist propaganda here and abroad supports these murderous criminals and blame Israel, the victim.
Biden has caved again to the arch-leftist wing of the democratic party this past week. He favors the Palestinian Hamas over Israel, our only friend in the middle east. He favors appeasement.
The war in Gaza is existential for Israel, not for the U.S.A. Personally, I favor Israel’s push to destroy completely Hamas, immediately I hope.
The war in Ukraine decidedly is existential for America. This administration talks a great game for supporting the country against the Russian invaders, but actions speak louder than talk. Helping Ukraine defeat Russia and save itself from disappearing has been deliberately slow-played. Biden sends barely enough weapons/munitions to stave off total defeat but woefully short of enough to defeat the Russian invasion. He has said that he doesn’t wish to “provoke” the Russians! If someone is shooting at you trying to kill you, he is already provoked. Kill him instead.
If Putin’s Russia successfully conquers Ukraine, it will be because the West convinced him that aggression works. He will next pick off the smaller border republics, now Nato members, that formerly were part of the old Soviet Union (initially incorporated there at gunpoint).
Seeing no forceful reaction from Nato, Poland and the Czech Republic would likely be next.
The Russian leader has publicly stated his goal to reestablish the failed Soviet Empire. Without credible force to prevent him, he would succeed. Such a calamity can relatively easily be prevented now by fully arming the Ukraine; Roosevelt saved Europe from the Nazis with lend-lease. In doing so, he also saved America from Hitler. America can do it again if we have the will to act. Because, in this case the war IS existential for us.
I pray God blesses Israeli and Ukrainian arms with victory, and
