The Freestone County Historical Museum will be closed Thursday, November 25th and Friday, November 26th for Thanksgiving.

The museum will be open for visitors on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Come see the renovations at the Old Jail, including reproduction jail cells, gallows trap door, the orginal bathtub on wheels, sheriff’s desk from the 1900’s, and several historical displays of Freestone County (both outlaws and law enforcement).

Freestone County Museum is located at 302 E. Main Street in Fairfield, Texas.

Gift shop available for history buffs.
