As part of Hank the Cowdog Month in Freestone County, 4th graders from Fairfield Intermediate school participated in a writing program on stage. Using puppets, musical instruments, their Google drive, and audio recording equipment, they wrote, orchestrated, and produced a song in typical Hank the Cowdog fashion. This original song, You Can’t Teach an Old Dog New Tricks, was sent to Mr. Erickson with Fairfield ISD compliments. Our Elementary school 1st graders will create their own song this Friday.
Trinity Star Arts Council is bringing in John Erickson, author of Hank the Cowdog, for the Art Fest, on the Courthouse Square, Saturday, Oct. 1.
