Freestone County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) arrested a man in Teague, Texas on multiple charges Wednesday, January 8, 2020.


Vincent Joseph Assini Jr. (pictured) was arrested after two search warrants were executed inside Teague City Limits.


According to the release by the Sheriff Shipley during the search, they located two firearms, Schedule 3 Controlled Substances, and a tactical vest with metal body armor plates.


The FCSO, with the assistance of Freestone County District Attorney’s Office, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Heart of Texas Auto Theft Taskforce, and Teague PD, in connection with a multi-agency theft investigation.

 

The FCSO has been working in connection with a multi-agency theft investigation on this case; together with the Freestone County District Attorney’s Office, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Heart of Texas Auto Theft Taskforce, and Teague Police Department.


Assini was charged with multiple charges:
–Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon,
–Possesion of Controlled Substance PG 3 < 28 grams
–Unlawful Possession of Metal or Body Armor by Felon


Sheriff Shipley states this is an ongoing investigation, and expresses how great an example of multiple agency team work this has been, and he gives a huge, “THANK YOU to all the agencies that assisted.”
