The congregation of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield will be presenting their annual Christmas Cantata this coming Sunday at 10:45 am, which will feature both traditional and new Christmas music for all ages.

‘Glory Divine: The Splendor of Christmas’ features eleven different songs with some featuring both soloist and trio performances by numerous members of Calvary’s twenty-five member choir.

‘How Many Kings’ will feature a soloist performance by Amy Race Rutledge. Other soloist performances will be by Calvary’s Music Minister Shelby Race in ‘Mary Did You Know’, Lori Harris in ‘What Love Is This’, and Bud Black in ‘Amazing Grace’.

‘The Virgin Lullaby’ will feature soloists Steve Black and Kimberly White. Calvary’s women’s trio comprised of LaDonna Mullen, Teresa Black and Susie Lane will perform during this song as well as the men’s trio of Shelby Race, Bud Black and Youth Minister Devin DiGuilio.

Other songs in the performance will include ‘Ring The Bells’, ‘A Festival of Carols’ which includes ‘Joy To The World’, ‘How Great Our Joy’, ‘Angels We Have Heard on High’, and ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’.

The song ‘A Madrigal Medley’ will feature parts of the songs ‘Masters In This Hall’, ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” and ‘Good Christian Men Rejoice.”

‘The Little Drummer Boy’ and ‘Silent Night’ will also be performed during the choir’s presentation.

“We are truly blessed to have so many talented vocalists at Calvary and it is always an honor to have them perform and bring a spiritual Christmas message in song during this time of year,” Calvary pastor Terry Skinner stated. “We encourage everyone to join us this coming Sunday at 10:45 for an hour of incredible music as we recognize the greatest gift that has ever been given to us: the gift of Salvation through Jesus Christ”, he added.
