PRESENTING NEW TACTICAL PLATES to the Fairfield Police Association is Teague High School Senior, Megan Martin, who raised money through her Love of Law Enforcement organization.
Receiving the plates on behalf of the Fairfield Police Association is President Albert Gallegos and member Weldon Alexander. Both are patrol officers for the Fairfield Police Department.
“We are so excited about getting these tactical plates for our vests; and are very grateful to Megan for the donation,” says Gallegos. “These special protection vests will only be used in high stress situations, not be worn on a daily basis as they are quite heavy, weighting around 40 pounds each.”
Megan was able to raise enough money to provide every law enforcement officer in Freestone County with these special plates. Officer Brody Weinmann was able to purchase the vest/carriers at a discounted price through LA Police Gear out of California.
