Fairfield Junior High Essay Winners 2021 for Freestone County SWCD include: 1st Place Laiken Carlson; 2nd Place Samuel Clifton; and 3rd Place Jordyn Garcia.
Fairfield Junior High students in Mrs. Alderson’s writing and Mrs. McCully’s science classes used their knowledge to write an essay for a local contest through the Water Conservation District.
The 2021 Theme was HEALTHY FORESTS = HEALTHY COMMUNITIES.
Contest was open to Freestone County students. That includes Fairfield, Teague, Wortham, and Dew.
Cash awards were given to individual students for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for each school district. There were also overall winners for the county.
These three students were awarded for the top three essays for Fairfield.
