The FCSO joined Wortham PD in welcoming the Texas Brotherhood Riders (at top) into Freestone County as they came into Wortham on Hwy 14 on their route from Texarkana headed toward Houston. They made a rest stop at the Wortham VFD who had members there to welcome them and provide a safe, shady area to catch their breath and prepare to continue toward Groesbeck where they will rest for the night.

The Texas Brotherhood Riders consist of LEO’s, Firefighters, and EMS personnel who ride bicycles to honor emergency responders who died in the line of duty.

We appreciate their honor and respect being shown to our fallen brothers and sisters, and we appreciated being a part of their remembrance ride.

Their journey will be 6 days and take them 600 miles as they honor 31 emergency responders that were lost in 2021.

God bless you all. Thank you! And, safe travels.
