The Freestone County Democrat Forum will host a dinner meeting Thursday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Sam’s Restaurant in Fairfield.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. They will elect a new Forum secretary during the meeting and hear from Thom Hanson and Maurice Washington.
Thom is the Chair of the Hill County Democrats and will speak about the need for an HD8 candidate in the new election. Maurice is the Chair of the Limestone County Democrats and is also our SD5 councilman. He will bring us up to date on the new strategy for registering voters created by the Texas Democratic Party. There may be a few other surprises during the meetings as well.
