The Freestone County 4-H Awards Celebration was held on August 22, 2021.
All Freestone County 4-H members were recognized for their participation at County, District and State Level contests.
Adult volunteers serving on the Adult Leaders Board (above), as Club Managers and Project leaders were also recognized for their service to the Freestone County 4-H program.

Freestone County 4-H Adult Leaders Officers were recognized: President Clay Kimball, Vice President Laura Tugwell, Secretary Christi Jo Kimball, and Treasurer Misty Lewis.
Our Outstanding Adult Leader Award was given to Misty & Jason Lewis. Misty has served as the Adult leader’s treasurer for several years and is always working behind the scenes. Jason is our designated “Go-to” dad, he’s the arena tiller, equipment & animal hauler, shavings picker-upper and all round helpful guy. Thank you both for your undying love and dedication to the Freestone County 4-H program.
Our Friend of 4-H award is given to a business that has helped our 4-H program by donating time and money to help the youth of Freestone County 4-H succeed. This year’s Friend of 4-H is Farmers State Bank, Thank you Farmers State Bank & Cody Gonzales!
Freestone County 4-H had 56 youth compete in District and State level events throughout the year.

AWARDS
–Spirit of 4-H award winners: Junior-Madison Henderson, Senior Maci Henderson
–Rising Star Award winner: Kylie Kofnovec, this year she competed in 5 district contests and 3 state level contests
–Bronze Star Award winner: J.W. Kofnovec, he’s an active club member and officer for the past 4 years, has 2 project areas and competed at district and state level events.
–“I Dare You” Award winner: Cooper Craddick, she has 5 different project areas, club President for the past 3 years, county council officer for the past 3 years and participated in district and state events.
–Gold Star Award is the highest level of 4-H award. Recipient: Rachel Lewis, been an active member for 9 years, held numerous club and county council leadership positions, competes in numerous district and state level activities and is a Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador.
