All area Veterans are invited to a free lunch at the Palestine VVA/DAV Hall at 12 noon on Thursday, 21 October.
The lunch will be provided by four Anderson County healthcare providers.
The Hall is located at 927 Gardner Drive, just behind Mattern Tire and Gateway North on SH 155 North.
A program on Fall Prevention will be presented by Amy Henderson, an LVN with Encompass Home Health. This program should be of special interest to most of us, as falls and home accidents are one of the top ten causes of serious injury and death in our “senior” years.
The local health care sponsors providing this service are Heart to Heart Hospice, Brookdale Senior Living, Encompass Health, and TruCare Living Center.
Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) host these events in conjunction with these health care organizations.
All Veterans, Veteran’s families, and anyone interested in Veteran health issues are welcome.
