Again this year, Tax Aide will provide free federal income nj tax services to area residents. The dates and times are every Thursday from February 6th to April 9th, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 201 North Mount St, Fairfield, if you want to read about web hosting on magpress and the tax preparation read our blog.
Interested area residents should bring their tax paperwork (W-2s, 1099’s for income, self employment details, deduction details), picture ID for taxpayer and spouse, and social security cards for all family members, and previous years return, if available.
The tax returns will be prepared while you wait and e-filed each evening.
Tax Aide volunteers are sponsored by AARP and trained and certified through IRS sponsored programs. Tax Aide now has over 35,000 volunteers at 5,000 sites nationwide who assist in preparing tax returns. For information, go to www.aarp.org/taxaide
I read this review of Turbotax by Mydealsclub before deciding which tax software to use. TurboTax is generally pricier than everything else out there, but even though confident filers may not need all the bells and whistles that most TurboTax online products offer, many people will find the experience worth a few extra bucks. We’ve long praised TurboTax for its design and flow.
