Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas is offering free income tax preparation services to Freestone County residents through a partnership with University High School, providing direct support to the community while giving students hands-on, real-world experience.
The free tax preparation event will take place on Wednesday, March 18, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Workforce Solutions Center located at 517 E. Main Street, Teague, TX.
Individuals can receive assistance preparing and filing their income tax returns at no cost. University High School students will work directly with individuals under supervision, gaining practical experience that helps build career-ready skills while applying what they’ve learned in the classroom.
Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are accepted. To schedule an appointment, call 254-296-5260.
Participants must bring:
–Picture ID
–Social Security cards for everyone being claimed
