Update:   Pinktober Family Fun Day and 5K Glow Run (Oct 29) is being postponed due to the weather.

This weekend is the annual Pinktober Health Fair at Freestone Medical Center.

Come out early on Saturday, October 15th for a FREE flu shot, cholesterol testing, and blood typing, beginning at 9:00 a.m. (flu shots available until supplies last).

Various vendors will be on site with promotional and information items available through 12:00 noon.

FREE Pinktober t-shirts will be given out (thanks to co-presenter Kare-Inn) while supplies last.

Yoga with Sheila Raye of Adrenaline Fitness will be offered in three 15-minute sessions beginning at 9:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., and 10:00 a.m. FREE t-shirts and yoga mats are offered to the first 24 participants.

There will be a bounce house and obstacle course for all ages to enjoy.

Wet Your Whistle lemonade stand will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

Door prizes will be given away at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and again at 12:00 p.m., so be sure to sign in. There will also be a free mammogram as a raffle prize.

The FMC Community Costume Contest will be held at 11:00 a.m., and there will be prizes. Age groups are 12 & under, 13-18, and adults.
Lunch will be available to the public beginning at 11:00 a.m.

Pinktober Health Fair is presented by Freestone Medical Center and Kare-Inn, LLC.

The event will be held near the Freestone Health Clinic located at 734 W. Commerce Street (Hwy 27) in Fairfield, Texas 75840.

And, while you are marking your calendars for this weekend, be sure to reserve Saturday, October 29th for the Pinktober Family Fun Day and 5K Glow Run, held at the fairgrounds in Fairfield.

The event will include music, field day events, cornhole tournament, zoomba classes, and an outdoor movie showing at the fairgrounds in Fairfield.

Adkins Veterinary Services will be putting on a Low-Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic for us from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on October 29th. Family health includes the health of your four-legged family members too!

Rabies only will be available for $20, Complete canine vaccinations will be $40, complete feline vaccinations will be $45 and Kennel Cough only will be $17.50.

All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier at the event.

Also, community Field Day events are being added to the October 29th event, as well! David Brackens will assist with community games like Speed walking, Egg-n-spoon race, Three-leg race, Sack race, Sponge race, Hula hoop race, Pass the water and Head shoulder knee game.
