The addition of rustic cabins will allow overnight guests at Fort Boggy State Park in Leon County.
The new construction was unveiled during their Grand Re-Opening on Friday, September 23, 2016.
“They are air conditioned, furnished nicely and have a screened-in porch,” says Peggy Emmons Redden, who attended the event with her husband, Ron.
According to Peggy, Texas State Representative Ashby Trent has been instrumental in appropriating funds for the renovation.
Monies were also raised through the sales tax on sporting goods.
