Five young men signed letters of intent at Teague High School during National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 7, 2018.

It was a proud coaching moment for THS Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Donnie Osborn as one-sixth of his winning football team complete the paperwork that would continue their sports career at the college level.

The Teague Lions football team cruised into the playoffs this past season with big wins, taking down their nemesis, Cameron Yoemen, before eventually falling in the Quarterfinals against Rockdale, who went on to claim the 3A Division I State Championship.

The five Teague athletes signing letters of intent are familiar names to Teague Lions sports fans.  They include:

Marcus Williams
#77 Teague Lions Offensive Lineman / Tight End will attend the U.S. Naval Academy and play for the Navy Midshipmen.

Tyrese Heard
#13 Teague Lions Wide Receiver / Safety will attend Texas State University to play for the Bobcats.

Tayvis Coleman
#1 Teague Lions Running Back / Safety will attend Tarleton State University and play for the Texans.

Antonio Heard
#3 Teague Lions Wide Receiver / Center will attend Navarro College to play for the Bulldogs.

Tyrus Busby
#54 Teague Lions Offensive Lineman / Defensive Lineman will attend Navarro College and play for the Bulldogs.

Congratulations, and best of luck, to these young athletes.
