Fairfield High School will hold a public performance of this year’s One Act Play entitled “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” on Sunday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the FHS Auditorium.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Children under 3 are free.

The cast and crew have been working on the production since school began in January. The UIL One Act Play contest will occur on March 8th at Teague High School.

The cast includes Jonathan Thomas, Britney Delgado, Emma Smith, Kynzee Payne, Skylar Bonner, Newton Hartley, Ben Kilkenny, Aiden Adams, Mason Edwards, and Madison Russell. Crew includes Sebastian Matthews on sound; Seth Couture, Zada Pjetrovic, and Johnnie Sims on lights; Payton Botelho as stage manager; and Elizabeth Rath and Dennise Salazar on stage crew.

The play follows the journey of a china rabbit doll named Edward, who gets separated from the child who loves him. He winds up in many locations, from the sea to a garbage dump, to Memphis. Each time he is discovered by a new owner who teaches him valuable life lessons. A once self-centered and vain doll, he learns some humility and eventually how to love.
