DONATING $1,2000 TO Pleasant Hills Children’s Home for new school shoes for the children is Fairfield Rotary Club.
The club received a Rotary Foundation DAP Grant in the amount of $700 and voted to increase the amount.
Club President Donna J. Tyus presents the check to Martha Thomasson, Marketing Director of the children’s home at a meeting held Tuesday, August 15th, at which Mrs. Thomasson was the guest speaker.
As part of the Grant’s criteria, a club must participate in the event, not just give a check.
Rotarians will meet at Beal’s in Palestine with Martha and some of the children to assist in trying on shoes and purchasing new shoes for school.
At a later date, Club Rotarians will meet at the Children’s Home to help organize their food pantry. (Photo submitted)
