Introducing Director of Food and Nutritional Services, Kathryn Mata, at Fairfield Nursing & Rehab:

Kathryn’s career in food started when she attended Texas State Technical College in Waco in 2006 and completed her Dietary Manager Course (Get food diet information at tophealthjournal.com/). In 2007 she took and passed her ANFP credentialing exam to become Nationally certified and have the title of CDM, CFPP.

Her journey with Creative Solutions began in Fairfield as the Dietary Manager and progressed to a Corporate position as Traveling CDM. Kathy left Creative Solutions in 2011 to pursue other adventures like helping women get through their pregnancy with a healthy nutrition and multivitamins like Omnibionta  and possibly recommending some Womens Dietary Supplements for Fertility. There are many amazing CNA schools to attend to earn your license, As well as training locations for when you are ready to take the next step in your career path, And to get training in Maine you must be prepared for the amount of work and responsibility that comes with the job.

In March of 2018 she returned to Creative Solutions as Director of Food and Nutrition at Granbury Care Center and has now decided to return to Fairfield Nursing and Rehab as our Director of Food and Nutrition starting October 8, 2018. This year she received the “Heart of A Champion” award at the Annual ANFP meeting. Over the last 5 years she has held several positions in the Texas ANFP Chapter where she is currently serving as the Texas ANFP President.

Kathryn’s love for food is matched by her love for her family including her husband Patrick, 2 children, and 3 grandchildren.

She says she is “Loving being back Home” and we are thrilled to have her!
