Fairfield Mayor Roy Hill announced this evening that he will not seek re-election this term.
The announcement was made during a Regular Session of Fairfield City Council on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.
Mayor Hill has served the City of Fairfield since 2004, first as a councilman, then as Mayor.
He has faced opposition several times, winning the last election by just a handful of votes.
“I want to thank our city for allowing me the honor to serve all this time as your elected leader and mayor,” reads Mayor Hill’s letter to the Council.
“May God bless you Fairfield, Texas, our State, and the United States of America,” Roy W. Hill.
