Employers May Register Until Monday

Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas, in partnership with the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, is hosting the Fairfield Hiring Fair Friday, Aug. 12, from 9 am to 12 pm at the Green Barn/Civic Center located at 839 E. Commerce in Fairfield.

More than 20 local hiring businesses are expected to participate in the event, and over 400 job openings will be available for job seekers to explore. This event is provided at no cost to job seekers and employers. Employer registration is available until Monday, Aug. 8, at bit.ly/fhf-register.

Neat Companies Group, which recently opened in Fairfield, is looking forward to meeting job seekers at the hiring fair.

“We are looking to hire for a few positions to ramp up operations in our Texas distribution facility from the local workforce. Be a part of a new and growing business,” said Neat Companies Facilities Manager, Brian Darden.

Jose Palacios, Manager of Business & Industry Initiatives for Workforce Solutions, encourages attendees to dress to impress and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews.

“Because businesses want to fill open positions quickly, it’s not uncommon for employers to interview and even hire candidates during our hiring fairs,” Palacios said.

Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas provides comprehensive services for businesses and job seekers in its six-county service area, which includes Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan counties. Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas is one of 28 local workforce development boards under the direction of and funded by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
