Speakers Advance
Fairfield FFA competed at Sandyland Convention on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Three speakers, Madi Mitchael (Prepared), Avery Strait (Prepared Ag Policy), and Blake Phillips (Prepared Animal Science), all earned First Place in their category and will advance to Area Competition.
Blake Phillips is running for Sandyland District Officer and Cole Coufal is representing Sandyland District as an Area 8 Officer.

Career Development Students Qualify for State Meet
Fairfield High School’s Career Development Event teams put in a long 14-hour day in the rain and represented well at the Area contest in Stephenville on Wednesday, April 10, 2024! There were 40-plus Area teams competing in several contests.
Qualifying to compete at the state meet is the Farm Agribusiness Management Team, which includes Connor Colvert, Skylar Cook, Mason Edwards. They took 2nd in district and 3rd in Area.
Other teams participating in District, and some in Area, were:
–Dairy Cattle: Haylee Allen, Madison High, Faith King – 7th in district
–Entomology: Braylen Collett, Owen Lane, Braylan McMillian, Hadlie Morrison – 2nd in district, 12th in Area
–Floriculture: Mariela Espinoza, Nidhi Kalyanji, Paisley Robinson, Mycah Smith – 4th in district
–Homesite: Mackenzie Allen, Adan Espinoza, Collin Glass, Samayah Wiley – 1st in district, 5th in Area
–Horse: Alaina Baker, Delaney McGowan, Lillian Poole
–Land: Trinity Glass, Brailey Keeney, Cinthia Serrato, Jake White – 3rd in district
–Livestock: Cole Coufal, Obie Crook, Blake Phillips, Avery Strait – 3rd in district, 15th in Area
–Milk Quality: Heidi Bailes, Kloie Chambers, Daley Glass – 3rd in district
–Poultry: Kenna Eppes, Rissa Eppes, Tracy Johnson – 4th in district
–Vet Science: Reese Beaver, Gracie Robinson, Emma White – 4th in district
