As the dry conditions continue across our state, the City of Fairfield is keeping a close watch on their water resources.

“At the present time, we are not experiencing any shortages,” said Fairfield City Administrator Nate Smith. However, the city is asking all water customers to follow these guidelines:

  • Water lawns between 5:00 a.m. and 9 a.m. or 8:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight
  • Sales of water to Bulk Haulers will be discontinued until further notice.
  • Practice water conservation and minimize or discontinue water use for non-essential purposes

“Taking these simple steps can prevent stronger restrictions later, reduce your water bill and save this precious resource for us all,” said City Administrator Smith.

As the summer progresses, the City of Fairfield will keep the citizens informed.
