Rusty Hitt, CEO of Community National Bank & Trust of Texas, has announced the election of nine Directors and five Advisory Directors.
Community Bank Holdings of Texas, Inc., the holding company for Community National Bank & Trust of Texas, held its annual shareholders meeting on April 16, 2019. The following individuals were re-elected to the board of the holding company and the bank: K.C. Wyatt, Rusty Hitt, Tim Stites, Byron Cook, Tim Cooper, Gary Summerall, Brent Magness, Sam Bournias and Russ Richardson.
Riley Peveto and Jerry Don Sanders retired from the active board. “We want to thank Riley and Jerry Don for their years of service and contributions to the success of the organization. They are both extremely knowledgeable and have had successful careers in the banking industry. Their counsel, advice and support have been invaluable to management,” said Hitt. Peveto and Sanders will continue as Advisory Directors at this time allowing the bank’s continued access to their expertise. In addition, K.C. Wyatt, Chairman of the Board, announced the appointment of three new Advisory Directors: Les Leskoven, Ginne Cook Davis and Scott Summerall.
Les Leskoven is the bank’s Executive Vice President and Chief Investment/Trust Officer. He has been with the bank for 20 years and has over 40 years in banking. Les has managed the Trust and Investment Department since 2002. Additionally, he holds a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation from the American Bankers Association Institute of Certified Bankers. He is an active member of the community and has served on numerous non-profit boards, including terms as president of United Way of Navarro County.
Ginne Cook Davis worked at Community National for 10 years as the Vice President/Marketing Officer. During her time at the bank, Ginne was responsible for implementing the marketing strategy and branding for all 15 locations. She also maintained the digital footprint of the bank through the bank’s website and social media. In addition, Ginne is actively involved in serving the community and is currently the president of the Corsicana Rotary Club.
Scott Summerall currently serves as Worldwide Content Marketing Program Manager at Texas Instruments where he oversees content marketing and communication for TI’s growth engines. Prior to that, Scott led external communications for the eighth largest pediatrics health system in the country, Children’s Health in Dallas. Throughout his career, Scott has provided strategic business counsel for multiple government agencies, non-profits, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies, including Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. He has also owned an active real estate brokerage in North Texas for 14 years.
“We are excited to add these three Advisory Directors who will each bring added energy and points of view to the boardroom. Les brings institutional and industry knowledge that will be a major asset to the board. Ginne and Scott are both third generation shareholders to serve the bank and will each bring new perspectives. Board and shareholder succession is vital to the ability of community banks to sustain long term viability,” said Hitt.
Community National Bank & Trust of Texas ended 2018 with over $750 million in assets with 15 locations.
