The small town of Teague, Texas is the place to be this weekend as Booker T. Washington / J.A. Brooks Alumni will gather for their annual Walk-A-Thon for Education on Saturday, September 3, 2022 to raise money for their Scholarship fund.

Participants will meet at 9:00 a.m. at Brooks/Washington Park in Teague for a four-mile walk.  Prizes and refreshments will be available, and certificates will be awarded.

Alumni chapters are expected from the Bi-State area as well as Dallas, Houston, and Corsicana.

Scholarships are awarded each year to Teague High School graduates and descendants of BTW/JAB alumni.

Also happening Saturday is the Evening Market on Main Street.

Come on down to the Teague Farmers Market on 406 Main Street from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

There will be 30-plus local vendors, several food trucks and live music.
