The Fairfield Eagles won once in three times in the Fairfield Invitational tournament at the Johnson Activity Center this past weekend.

The Eagles defeated Dallas Inspired Vision with a 75-14 dominating win. Rex Bean scored 18 of his game high 21 in the first half and the Eagles built a 49-5 lead and never looked back. Canady added 13 points in the win with Collins scoring eight.

Fairfield would also take on McKinney Christian Academy and battled the Mustangs but came up short 77-46. Canady hit a pair of three pointers in the four quarter and would add two more in the second half and total 14 points. Bean also added four from long distance and led the Eagles with 19 points. Fairfield fell behind in the first period with 13 points from McWord, who would lead all scorers with 27 points. He nailed seven three pointers that added to the lead.

The Eagles stayed with the Mustangs in the second period, outscored 16-14 but McKinney Christian continued to pull away and claim the tournament victory.

The final tournament game was the Athens Hornets and after giving up 30 points in the first period, practically played even for the remainder of the game. Ray scored a game high 20 points and Red added a dozen more in the 79-60 win. Camren Daniels scored ten of his 17 points in the second half. Canady added 17 points and Pierre Algood tossed in 13 points, including hitting all four free throw attempts.

The Fairfield Eagles will begin district play next week prior to the holiday.
