Dogan Alumni’s 15th Reunion Weekend is upon us. Doganites from all over will descend on Fairfield this weekend to celebrate “A Legacy Making an Impact” starting Friday, July 7th through Sunday, July 9th.

Event registration begins Friday morning at the Conference Center located at the Freestone County Fairgrounds, with a complementary lunch provided from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (must present meal ticket included with registration).

That evening will feature the famous Big Broadcast – A Night of Stardom at the Fairfield High School Auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for this event are $10 per adult, $5 per youth (6-18 years), and children 5 and under are admitted free of charge.

Following the Big Broadcast, a Social Hour/Mix & Mingle will be held from 10:00 p.m. to Midnight at the Dogan Gym. Tickets to this event are $2 per person.

Saturday’s events kick off at 10:00 a.m. with a Parade beginning at the Dogan Campus, traveling North on Bateman, across Highway 84 to Main Street, then East on Main to Mount Street. It will continue by circling around the Courthouse Square in a counter-clockwise direction, back to Main Street, then South on Dogan to end back at the Dogan Campus.

Around 11:00 a.m., following the parade, there will be a Historical Marker Unveiling Ceremony on the campus.

After the ceremony, lunch will be served at the gym. Advanced meal ticket purchase is required. Adults are $10 and children under 10 years of age are $5.

There will be barbeque, activities, and basketball. Only 8 years and older will be allowed to play ball. A $5 entry fee will be required to access the gym without a meal ticket purchase.

Saturday evening features a Dinner Dance at the Depot X with a semi-formal attired Masquerade Ball. Tickets are $40 to be purchased in advance. No walk-ins allowed.

The big weekend concludes with at Memorial/Dedication Program and Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Sunday morning at the Fairfield High School Auditorium beginning at 10:00 a.m. Guest speaker will be Reverend Brent Polk.

As a point of interest, on April 7, 2017, Dogan Alumni joined the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, celebrating with a Ribbon Cutting; and on May 13, 2017, in recognition of the legacy of Dogan Alumni and the impact they have had on their communities across the nation, Freestone County Judge Linda Grant signed a proclamation.
