The Declaration of Disaster was extended by Fairfield Council to May 12, 2020 during last week’s Regular Called Meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2020.
The declaration of disaster allows the City to record their time towards disaster and to request necessary funds and supplies from the state, as they become necessary.
Other business included accepting a resignation from Brody Weinmann as police officer, and to approve taking no action in the increase of telecommunications rights-of-way. This inaction upholds action taken each year on this issue.
As the meeting was adjourned, Mayor Kenneth Hughes thanked council members for their service, stating, “These are very trying times. For questions or concerns, please call me.”
