Deborah Yevone Nunley passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 69.

She was born on May 16, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Harvey Fowler Hathcox and Velma Pearl Mitchell.

Deborah was known for her warmth and kindness, touching the lives of those around her through her work and her relationships.

As a dedicated cashier at Brookshire Brothers in Fairfield, she greeted each customer with a smile and a genuine interest in their day. Her commitment to her job reflected her strong work ethic and dedication to providing excellent service.

Outside of work, Deborah found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for shopping, finding delight in discovering treasures both big and small. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, who brought endless love and laughter into her life.

Deborah’s faith was an integral part of who she was, and she was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church. Her unwavering belief in God brought her comfort and strength throughout her life’s journey.

She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us, her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

In addition to her legacy of kindness and devotion, Deborah leaves behind a cherished family who meant the world to her. She is survived by her father, Harvey Hathcox, whose love and support she held dear throughout her life’s journey.

Deborah’s children, Harvey Gene Nunley (Casey) and Ashley Brooks Nunley (Mandi), were the lights of her life, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and the love they shared as a family.

Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye, and she treasured every moment spent with them. They are Taylor Nunley (Chelsea), Kaylynn Sanchez (Leo), Katie Vargas (Jonathan), Trevor Nunley, Braydan Garrett, Lane Garrett, Rylan Nunley, Ryker Nunley, Houston Nunley, Kager Nunley, and Sophie Nunley.

Additionally, Deborah leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren who brought endless joy into her life with their laughter and innocence.

Despite the sorrow of her passing, Deborah’s memory will continue to be a source of love and inspiration to her surviving sister, Karen Bancroft (Mitchell), nephews and niece Chance Bancroft, Collin Bancroft, and Nadie Bancroft as well as all those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Pearl Mitchell, whose love, and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy Nunley, whose memory she carried in her heart always.

In this time of mourning, let us take comfort in the memories we shared with Deborah and in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her.
