CR 481 CLOSURE AT UPPER KEECHI CREEK — Detour in place

FREESTONE COUNTY– Beginning Monday, October 2, 2023, CR 481 will be temporarily closed at the Upper Keechi Creek bridge. Motorists needing to utilize this bridge will need to follow the signed detour. This closure is necessary for constructing a new bridge at this location. The closure is expected to last until January 31, 2024.

To alert drivers of the closure, changeable message signs have been placed in the area where this closure will occur as well as a signed detour will be in place throughout the duration of the closure.

This $609.028.19 county road bridge replacement project is contracted to THK Construction, LLC.  TxDOT and their contractor appreciate everyone’s patience during this construction.
