The 2017 Fiscal Year holidays have been approved by Freestone County Commissioners. The Fiscal year runs from October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017.
The County will observe the following 12 holidays:
Veterans’ Day – November 11
Thanksgiving – November 24 & 25
Christmas – December 23 & 26
New Year – January 2, Presidents’ Day
February 20, Good Friday
April 14, Memorial Day – May 29
Independence Day – July 4
Labor Day – September 4
Columbus Day – October 9
Commissioners also agreed to continue holding regularly scheduled meetings on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Special meetings to be announced as needed.
