During the March 18, 2026, Commissioners Court meeting Commissioners voted to approve the following:

–Minutes from the March 4, 2026, regular meeting

–Budget transfers and amendments

–Bill Pay

–Payroll

–Acceptance of Reports from County Clerk, District Clerk, and Senior Services

–Additon of Texas Connect – Meeder Investments as an additional liquidity option for added yield and diversification

–Accept the Canvass for March 3, 2026, Primary Election

–Authorization of fireworks sales for San Jacinto Day, April 21

–Addition of Danita Burns to the CPS Board

–Acceptance of revised floodplain maps from FEMA for Freestone County, to take effect in June

–Enrollment of County Employees for Cyber Security Training with CIRA (for employees with County email addresses)

–Updated hourly wage for certified Election Workers from $12 per hour (past 20 years) to $15 per hour, effective immediately. Hourly wage for uncertified Election Workers will remain $10 per hour.

–Reallocation of $876.77 remaining funds in APRA to be divided between Road & Bridge precincts

Freestone County Commissioners include Andy Bonner (Pct. 1), Will McSwane (Pct. 2), Richard McGowan (Pct. 3), Clyde Ridge, Jr. (Pct. 4), and Lloyd Lane (County Judge).

Their regularly scheduled meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the 2nd-floor courtroom.
