The Country Fair and three-month long “Complete the Community Food Bank Lobby” fundraising campaign was a huge success in many ways! Money was raised, awareness of Food Bank’s services was increased; connection to social services was improved; community partnerships were strengthened and all attendees had fun.
NRG Energy, the Presenting Sponsor, gave a $5000 grant. They chose to invest their resources to strengthen all the communities of Freestone County by sponsoring the “Complete the Lobby” campaign. NRG Energy appreciates the valuable services the Food Bank provides to the community.
Other major sponsors include: Premier ($2000) – Cornerstone Full Gospel Church, Fairfield; Kindness from Case Memorial Foundation & Board of Directors, Fairfield; and Hero ($1000) – Depot X, Fairfield; Fairfield Tractor, Teague; Freddie Ranch LLC, Fairfield; Lott Physical Therapy & Fitness Center, Fairfield; RD Quinn, Teague.
Volunteers for the Food Bank who organized the event and campaign express their gratitude to the Freestone County community for their generosity in raising funds for this important project. The warehouse will have a finished lobby where clients can complete paperwork, receive food and hope, as well as get connected to community resources.
Donations (tax-deductible) are still welcome. Please make checks to Community Food Bank and mail to P. O. Box 1438, Fairfield, TX, 75840.
Work on completing the lobby is beginning right away. Watch for news of the open house in January 2020. www.countryfair-fairfield.com
