Palestine Community Theatre will start preparation for its Christmas production by holding Open AUDITIONS for Irving Berlin’s White Christmas: The Musical beginning Saturday, October 28, at 10:00 AM at the historic Texas Theatre, 213 W. Crawford in downtown Palestine.

Performances for this production will be December 15-17. Detailed information and a form to complete before auditions can be found at http://www.thetexastheater.com/auditions-info.html.

Auditions will be done in two parts: Singing and Reading. The singing portion will be Saturday, the 28th, and will be a “cattle call” format–anyone wishing to participate shows up and has an opportunity to sing.

The reading portion will be Sunday, October 29, with other days scheduled as needed. Everyone who wishes to do so may read, and anyone wanting a principle role MUST read. There are only very small juvenile roles, with the exception of Susie, which is a speaking/singing role.

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is based on the beloved, timeless film, and this heartwarming musical adaptation features 17 Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake.

The dazzling score features well known standards including Blue Skies, I Love A Piano, How Deep Is the Ocean and the perennial favorite, White Christmas.
