While there the children learned how a real coffee shop looks and sounds while they toured.
Following they were able to shop at Sam’s, complete with a budget to adhere to while they shopped.
Each child had to apply for the jobs: Manager, Barista, Cashier, etc.
These children even have little ID’s and aprons for their job.
Working a job teaches a child how to properly communicate with another person, maintain eye contact, ask questions, and the actual responsibility of having a job.
Therefore, if you happen to see a coffee cart at the Intermediate Campus, it is the Eagle Roost Coffee Cart.
Make sure and grab you a nice cup of coffee, or even hot chocolate if you prefer, and support children’s learning.
Pictured above: THE NEW COFFEE CART is surrounded by proud students at Fairfield Intermediate while wearing their new aprons and badges. Each child applied for their individual job in order to worktheir position. The cart is stocked for caffeine granting coffee and delicious warming hot chocolate.
