When asked about their accomplishments in 2017, the City of Teague had much to answer.

They helped coordinate local Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Christmas decorations were upgraded, throughout the town.

The city’s second annual National Night Out was a big success.

Notably, Teague received three grants for their Police Department for upgrades to the officer’s radios, computer server and NIBRS.

Overall, City Administrator Theresa Prasil states that Teague had better employee work safety, team work and moral this year.

Looking ahead, goals for the City of Teague are “to continue to serve the community with great customer service and give more employees the opportunity to attend educational classes to obtain certifications and licenses.”

As to special projects, the City of Teague will continue making improvements to their infrastructure with the South FM 80 water line and fire protection project kicking off of January 8, 2018.

The Teague Police Department’s building remodel is set to be completed and opened in early spring.
