Funeral services for Charlie Jordan, 67, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Rev. Spain Trask will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Dew Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Jordan passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at his residence near Dew.

He was born in Houston on September 13, 1955. He lived in Houston for several years and worked as a diesel mechanic before retiring early and moving to Dew. He repaired small engines and worked on tractors for many people in Freestone County and the surrounding areas. Mr.

Jordan came out of retirement and went to work for the Freestone County Sheriff’s Office and later for Texas Department of Criminal Justice until he retired earlier this year. Charlie’s passion was catching fish, all kinds of fish, and he loved to take friends and family on fishing trips.

Mr. Jordan attended the First Assembly of God Church in Teague.

He is survived by his mother, Sue Jordan of Dew; one sister, Glenda Starvaggi of York, Nebraska; two nieces, Jessica Holoch & husband Cody, and Sarah Springer; two great-nephews, Hudson Holoch and Jackson Holoch; and one great-niece, Olivia Holoch.

Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Jordan, Sr.
