Proclaiming ‘Leon Schrader’ Day, in honor of this 100-year strong businessman and community leader, is Teague Mayor David Huffman (at top).
Attendees shared stories of Leon’s generosity during a family birthday party held Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Former employee Lin Utsey shared how he was instructed to fix one lady’s transmission, even though according to Leon, “Her bill is so big, she won’t live long enough to pay it, but she needs her car.”
Mr. Schrader was also presented a Key to the City by Debbie Sanoja of Teague Chamber of Commerce.
