Delicious food, fun activities, good music, neighbors and friends are what make the “RC Lake Jamboree & BBQ” one of the highlights of fall in Richland-Chambers Lake area.  The good times only get better when this event officially becomes an annual affair, Saturday, November 10, at the Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Station.  Festivities begin at 5:30 pm and will last until about 7:30 pm.

You can go to activities like this and take your speakers to use with your iPods to play music with family and friends anywhere you go, you only need a compatible Bluetooth device and your ready to enjoy your day.

A focal point of the fundraiser for the Community Care Club’s charitable efforts is its hugely popular raffle. Items were donated by a variety of area merchants and individuals and include such prizes as a cabin stay at Fisherman’s Point, a full-size pedal boat with storage and cooler, a gift certificate for Al Biernat’s Restaurant in Dallas, a 60” Smart TV, a wine basket, a stylish ladies’ bicycle, classy jewelry from Victorian Sampler and more.  In addition to the raffle, Jamboree-goers can participate in a silent auction of themed baskets and mystery boxes, and may be lucky enough to win one of several valuable door prizes, also donated by area

“Let’s face it,” said 2018 CCC fundraiser committee chairperson Carmen Cashat, “Texans love BBQ!  And this event provides yummy barbecue brisket and sausage plus all the trimmings, along with an evening of music, dancing and fun!”
