The Bonds Alley Art Festival is returning to Hillsboro on Saturday, June 5th and Sunday, June 6th from 9am to 5pm each day.  We are making a few changes this year to better accommodate our crowds in 2021 and provide for their safety.  Artists and vendors will have an additional 10 feet of space between one another to allow for social distancing.  Another change is that we are returning the show to some of its origins from long ago by selecting artists and artisans via jury selection.  Only jury selected artists/artisans will be allowed to set up in Bonds Alley and along the sidewalks of W Elm St.  Non-artist vendors will be setting up along the sidewalks of S Covington Street.

As in year’s past, we will be setting up a booth for children to create their own artwork as well as to try their hand at sidewalk chalk art in front of Overflow Coffee Co.  Additional hands on activities for children will be provided along the W Elm Street sidewalk.  Plans are also under way to provide entertainment from several local organizations.

This year’s food court will also feature local downtown restaurants and food trucks and Overflow Coffee Co will be our official coffee for the festival with their location directly beside the alley.

Admission, as always, is free for the public and full details on pricing and applications for artists, artisans, and vendors will be available online at www.hillsboromainstreet.org/bondsalley.

Hillsboro Main Street encourages everyone to enjoy the other retail and restaurants throughout downtown, many of which will be offering sales and sidewalk displays during the festival.  Especially make a point to create your own art at Two Sisters Ceramics & Stuff and Makley Rehab + Co.
