Opening the doors to a new location in downtown Fairfield last week is Nicole Hughes of Dessert by MommaCakes.
The bakery had been operating out of Kennedy’s Korner, a retail shop on the East side of the Freestone County Courthouse Square.
The larger location, on the opposite side of the Square, allows for indoor/outdoor seating, display area for a wide variety of desserts, a specialty tea and coffee bar, and retail space for gift and other specialty items.
Some of the things to look forward to with the new location will be MommaCakes Loyalty Program, Kid’s Classes, Birthday Party Packages, Tea and Shake Event pairings, and more Adult Classes.
“It’s been an amazing 16 months partnering with some of the most amazing people,” said Nicole, who calls the move to a bigger location a little bitter-sweet.
“Those of you who have trusted us with your business and continued support, we thank and love you,” she said.

Dessert by MommaCakes is open Tuesday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
