Cornerstone Full Gospel Church of Fairfield is hosting their 10th Annual BBQ Cook-off and Communitywide Lunch this weekend in the Civic Center (Green Barn) located at the Moody Reunion Fairgrounds in Fairfield, Texas.

Deadline to enter is Wednesday, August 17th at 12:00 noon, so call NOW at 214-668-6601 and speak with Felicia Brackens to enter.

The cook-off will include Beef Brisket, Pork Ribs, Cook’s Choice, and Chicken; and is a SAUCE Optional competition to be judged by various community members. Entry fee is $100 per 4-person team.

In addition, there will be a Pinto Beans Cook -Off with a $5 entry.

All meat cooked will be used for the luncheon to be served at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20th in the Civic Center and will include sides and a drink.

Everyone is welcome to dine in the Green Barn. Lunch is FREE to all in the community to enjoy on a first- come, first- served basis until there is none left.

You do not want to miss out on this good food!

Entry fees for those competing in the BBQ Cook-off are $100 per 4-person team. Ten teams out of all the teams will be drawn to have their meat provided by the church.

Additional teams are welcome; but must supply their own meat for the cook-off.

Entry fees for the Pinto Beans Cook-Off is $5. Be prepared to cook at least one (1) quart (you must purchase all ingredients, including pinto beans).

Cooking may start at home beginning on Thursday, August 18th. Beans are due in for judging at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, August 20th.

Also on Tuesday, August 23rd, Cornerstone Full Gospel Church will host “Feed the Community” FREE lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the church Fellowship Hall, located at 303 State Highway 75 North, Fairfield, Texas 75840.
